The Home Check is done virtually, therefore the volunteer will need access to a laptop, computer or phone. We typically use Zoom, Facetime (if available), Whatsapp and other video calling apps. 

We ask for volunteers to be able to dedicate at least 10 hours per week, but realistically the work load before an intake is time sensitive and requires immediate attention. In this role, the hours per week can fluctuate. We are most busy when there is an upcoming transport. In between transport less time is required. 

In this role you would need to be reasonably computer literate, communications skills, and work well within the team structure, but be self-motivated and able to take initiative. 

In this position we need a volunteer who is dog savvy enough to understand whether a dog is a good fit in a particular home.
