We are currently fostering Mendes and he is just the sweetest little guy. Extremely well mannered around human food; doesn’t beg or try to eat if human food falls to the ground. Super food motivated and very smart. Already knows, sit, stay, down, find ( looking for his favourite sheep toy), out. Gets super excited when going
for a walk; he does sound like a sea lion which just adds to his cuteness. Very good with dogs; he likes to say a quick hello, sniff and be on his way. No prey instinct towards; squirrels, rabbits, birds. Lets out a small bark when playing fetch; another game he is really good at.
Takes a little bit of time to settle into his crate.
Loves, loves and I means loves his humans; is a shadow/ Velcro dog. Loves to lay down next to you on a couch and snore his problems away haha. He is a nap KING!
Did take a quick shower to get the dirt/mud off him and he did fantastic!! Did not resist in any way. He adjusted fairly quickly when we picked him up; no shyness/ no stomach issues/ does not fear the outside or loud noises or people. Did not have even one accident in the new foster home; knows that outside is the place to go. Every person he meets on the street tells him how adorable he is and his overbite just makes him even more adorable. No rescuers guarding at all; good at walking on the leash, pulls a little bit at the beginning due to excitement;calms down after a little bit and zig zags his way along the walkway like he owns it all haha:Very friendly and always up for an adventure.
