Chestnut is a happy loving old guy and he loves his bully/beef sticks. He loves going for walks and meeting new people and new dogs. Chestnut loves food and is always looking for his next snack. He does take a while to get used to his surroundings and therefore has a hard time settling/relaxing but gets there with love and patience. He is good in the crate in the car but hasn’t been loose in the car yet. He is good on leash and very happy to go for walks but does pull sometimes. Chestnut has mild separation anxiety therefore he can only go to a detached home. Chestnut is gentle, takes treats and sits nicely. He loves meeting new people but can be a bit shy. He loves my grandchildren 8 & 9 years old but can be protective at times with his treats but has never nipped. Chestnut does not like dominant high energy dogs and makes him more anxious where cannot settle. The best fit for Chestnut would be where someone is home most/all of the day and where he is the only dog or with another little dog who is calm (low energy) and submissive. Chestnut will steal your heart and is an absolute love bug and is always so happy to be with you.
