Odin is a 75lb nearly 6 year old male American pitbull mix. He was rescued him from BARCS 5 years ago, and he has been a wonderful member of a family since then. Unfortunately, he has struggled with the introduction of a baby to his current home in the last year and needs to be rehomed.
He is medium energy and loves to lay around the house but also likes to play hard, fetch, jump, run and go for walks. He is very strong and very agile. He is very loving with people and likes to be pet and sit on your lap. He loves all people and wiggles with his whole body when he meets new ones. He does have barrier reactivity on the leash and through windows/fences towards other dogs. He has worked with a trainer extensively and he had a 2 week intensive board and train as well as ongoing training and it continues to be something that he is working on. Current home would be happy to provide contact information of Odin’s trainer and pay for a training session with new home to familiarize them with his training. He is a bit unreliable off leash due to prey drive and because of his breed we have avoided off leash dog parks except for private ones. He is good with most other dogs with slow, proper introductions and lived with another female dog for the last 5 years. He would do best in a home with no cats and no young children.
