Meet Miller (or Buddy)! He’s a gentle, happy guy who LOVES to cuddle and go for walks. Being blind doesn’t slow him down either. Especially now that he’s learned the layout of our house and yard. He’s very smart and well behaved but needs patience and safety when exploring new areas.
He loves all people, especially if they let him cuddle on their lap and provide belly rubs. He’s grown to love our dog and two cats already as you can see in the pictures. We haven’t introduced him to any children yet.
He’s typically very calm and listens well. Leash training is a work in progress since he can’t see. His nose guides him, so he needs lots of redirection and patience in new areas.
He knows very basic commands like sit, come and no. But we’re working on the rest still. He doesn’t bark and rarely whines unless he needs to go outside. We haven’t found a toy he likes just yet but will play wrestle a bit with our dog. He’s not super food motivated and selective with the treats he will eat. There is no food aggression either.
Things he hates: baths and car rides. Even though he doesn’t enjoy them, he has been gentle and never shown any aggression towards us.
Whoever ends up getting Miller (Buddy) will be showered with unconditional love!
