Charlie is a little shy at first but once he knows he is safe, he is deeply devoted to his people. He might take a little bit of time to come out of his shell, but once he does; he will become your trusted companion and shadow.
Home life π‘
His current fosters think he is the cutest thing they have ever seen. Charlie is a medium energy dog who adjusts to his home energy and goings-on accordingly. Due to his age, a home with older kids is preferred as he is currently working on "no jumping" as he is still a young pup he gets excited when it's time for zoomies. Outside of that he is a very calm pup who is fully house trained, and settles into his crate like a pro. As much as he depends on his people for affection and love and just adores them, he understands being left on his own is not the end of the world. He settles within seconds in his crate and waits for you to return like the bestest boy there is. So much to say he has no separation anxiety, no guarding of his food, toys or his space.
Walks πΆββοΈββ‘οΈ
He does well on his walks; due to his size quick 15 min walks are all he needs. Charlie has gained a lot of confidence already and is becoming a pro walker, by checking in with you ever so often. He likes to say a quick hello to smaller dogs, but is unsure of bigger breed dogs. With time and socialization, he will become a fearless pup.
Personality πΆ
As mentioned, Charlie is a very adoptable pup who loves just being around his people; either just hanging out with you on the couch catching a snooze, snuggling right next to you, or playing a game of fetch (which he just adores to do). Charlie understands boundaries until it has to do with belly rubs; then he will pull out all the stops to get some love. Charlie is a food motivated pup, which makes him very easy to train. He already learned many commands like: stay, sit, paw, and roll. He is just a huge sweetie, who would love to spend his days napping and being with his people.
