Likes:
Loves his toys
Loves walks, but he is not an athlete, he is much more of a leisurely sniffer
Very good on leash with no pulling or lunging
Loves his soft comforts and taking naps. He is a couch dog and this is a non negotiable.
Sleeps in his foster’s home office while she works most of the day
Loves cuddles, but is equally happy just hanging out beside you
Loves to be brushed and pampered
Dislikes:
We honestly haven’t found any yet!
Good with:
Dogs: Loves his dog friends but is not overly interested or all over them
Kids: Very gentle
Cats: Unknown, although I suspect he would be just fine
Food:
LOVES human food and is a bit of a counter surfer, however when told “no,” he listens and backs off
He is learning to enjoy his dry kibble, but definitely prefers it mixed with wet food or broth
He likes to eat quietly in his own space
Barking:
We have not heard him bark once!

None that we have seen
He sleeps peacefully in his own space all night; he does not make a noise or seem stressed when we let him out
House Trained:
Yes! The only accident was when we first brought him home and he decided to mark his territory
No accidents since then, including overnight
Car:
He is completely fine in the car
He really is the perfect dog. He would be a wonderful fit for pretty much anyone who is kind, caring and affectionate. He needs a really special home because he is a really special guy. The only home we probably wouldn’t recommend is a very athletic family looking for a dog to run or bike with. Steve is much more of a “let’s go for a nice walk, sniff everything, then come home and get cozy” kind of guy.
He is a chill, happy little soul who loves his people, animals and pretty much the whole world.
We absolutely love Captain Steve and it is heartbreaking to let him go. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to foster him and are committed to helping him find the wonderful forever home he deserves.
