Hi, My Barcs name is Green Goddess but my family calls me Jenny.
I’m a very happy girl and am friendly with all of the people that I meet. My favorite thing is just being with my foster family no matter what they are doing. I love snuggling next to them on the couch or following them around the house as they do their chores. I have a dog brother and sister and I like playing with them (although I do try and push them aside if my foster mom is giving them attention - what can I say, I want to be her favorite 😊). My foster mom is glad that I hardly shed at all and that I am house trained. The people at Barcs think I’m part Australian Shepherd but I think I look a little bit like a Whippet since I am very slender. I have pretty golden green eyes and the most velvety ears.
The highlight of my day is going for a walk in the park with my doggie siblings. I come when I am called and walk pretty good on the leash but need a bit of training to be better at heeling to one side. I sometimes get a little over excited when I see other dogs, but hey, I’m still pretty much a puppy so I love to play.
What I absolutely don’t like is being in a crate. Luckily my foster mom lets me sleep next to her on her bed and I snooze right through the night till she gets up. I ride pretty well in the car, preferring to sit shotgun in the passenger seat. I can reach pretty high up on the counter so you will have to be sure not to leave any food within my reach cause I might just be tempted to help myself. I‘m not sure about cats… I find them kind of scary since one scratched me pretty bad. But if it is a nice cat, we might get along.
I really hope that I find a home where someone is around most of the day since I get sad when I am not with my family. So if you are looking for a best friend to hang out with, a companion to go on nice long walks with and someone who will always greet you with a “woo,woo,woo” when you get home, I’m your girl.
