Nessie came to us from a high-kill shelter in California, but this happy, friendly girl wasted no time making herself right at home!
She's a total velcro dog who simply wants to be wherever her people are. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, doing chores around the house, or heading out for an adventure, Nessie will happily be right by your side, soaking up all the love she can get. β€οΈ
She's fully house trained, walks beautifully on leash, and we've never even heard her bark. Her favorite part of every day is heading out for a walk, where she hopes to meet every person and every dog she sees... because she loves them all! She gets along wonderfully with our resident dog, too. We haven't tested her with cats yet, so that remains a bit of a mystery.
If Nessie had to rank her favorite things in the whole world, food and tennis balls would easily take the top two spots. πΎπ She loves to play hard, then curl up for an equally impressive nap afterward.
On walks, she's been wonderfully calm and confident. Children running by, bicycles, and everyday activity don't seem to faze her, so we think she'd do well with kids. That said, she's a strong, energetic girl, so a home with older children would likely be the best fit.
At first, Nessie wasn't too sure about getting into the car, but now she absolutely enjoys her rides. π While we've only left her alone for up to four hours at a time, she's been very well behaved and hasn't been destructive. If she had her way, though, she'd choose to have her people around as much as possible.
One thing she definitely isn't a fan of? Crates. They keep her away from her favorite people! Nessie would much rather curl up on a comfy pillow or stretch out on a bed like the princess she knows she is. π
It's impossible not to fall in love with this sweet girl. She's affectionate, loyal, and full of love to give. If you're looking for a devoted companion who's always ready for a walk, a game of ball, or a cuddle, Nessie can't wait to meet you. πΎπ
