🐾 Meet Yote! 🐾
Yote is a sweet, playful Husky mix puppy who's looking for a family to grow up with. This lovable guy adores attention and will happily freeze in place for as long as you're willing to give him scratches and pets. He's happiest when he's close to his people or other dogs, loves following them just to be part of whatever they're doing.
Yote is food motivated, making him a joy to train. He's already mastered sit, down, shake paw, inside crate, and fetch, and he's currently working on stay, drop it, and leave it. He's eager to learn and picks up new skills quickly!
He loves to stay outdoors, play with his dog friend, lay in the shade and play with toys in the yard. He doesn’t respond negatively to the neighbors dogs, even when they bark at him.
Walks are one of his favorite activities, and he's already an excellent little walking buddy. He stays close by your side, and doesn't chew on the leash. Loud noises may cause him to stop and assess the situation, but with a little encouragement, he's happy to keep exploring.
Yote is house trained. He hasn't had any accidents in his crate, and as long as he's taken outside regularly throughout the day and a couple of times overnight, no accidents in the house. He's settling into a great daytime routine, sleeping in his crate while I’m at work, with one play break at lunch time.
A few more things about Yote:
Dogs: He’s very playful with his current house-mate (also a husky X), he’s happy to run around and play for as long as he can!
Shows no signs of possessiveness around toys or his water bowl.
Can have treats right next to the other dog, a little more possessive at mealtime, but with proper separation it’s no issue at all.
Cats: Unknown, shows some signs of prey drive but still untested.
Kids: He hasn't had direct interactions with children yet. Like many puppies, he can get excited and a little mouthy during play, so supervised interactions with respectful children are recommended while he continues learning good manners.
Car rides: He's nervous riding in a crate but does much better when he can lie beside you or be held. Sits very quietly in the back seat hammock.
Barking: Yote is generally a quiet puppy and typically only barks to let you know he needs to go outside or if he needs something specific.
Crate training: His crate training is going well! During the day, he settles quickly and is able to stay in the crate for 3-4 hours at a time. He may bark a bit overnight as he adjusts to being crated at night. This will likely improve as he becomes more comfortable and older.

Yote is a sweet, affectionate Husky mix puppy who's looking for a family to grow up with. ❤️ This lovable little guy absolutely adores attention and will happily freeze in place for as long as you're willing to give him scratches and pets. He's happiest when he's close to his people and loves following them from room to room just to be part of whatever they're doing.

Bath time and grooming? No problem! Yote stays calm while having his paws cleaned, ears washed, and even while being dried afterward.
He's also settling into a great routine at home. He enjoys relaxing in his crate and will often choose to nap there during the day. After exercise or playtime, he settles quickly and sleeps soundly. He'll even let you know when he needs to go outside.
Yote is doing wonderfully with his house training. He hasn't had any accidents in his crate, and as long as he's taken outside regularly throughout the day and a couple of times overnight, accidents in the house are easily avoided.

🐶 Dogs: He's currently a little nervous around other dogs, especially if they're loud or bark a lot, but he has shown interest in calm, friendly dogs and would likely gain confidence with positive experiences.

👧 Kids: He hasn't had direct interactions with children yet, but he has a very gentle personality. Like many puppies, he can get excited and a little mouthy during play, so supervised interactions with respectful children are recommended while he continues learning good manners.
