Junie is a sweet, affectionate Dachshund mix with a calm nature and a playful side. She loves curling up on a warm bed or snuggling beside you on the couch, but she’s just as happy heading out for a walk or chasing a ball in the yard.
She’s doing well in her foster home—she eats well, settles nicely on her own, and isn’t destructive (your furniture will thank you). Junie isn’t a fan of the crate, but she has proven she can be trusted in the house. She also rides well in the car, making her an easy companion for outings.
On walks, Junie can be a bit reactive when she first sees other dogs, but with proper introductions she relaxes quickly and becomes playful and social. She enjoys being active and is still building her leash manners, so she’ll benefit from some continued guidance and consistency.
Junie can be a little shy at first, but she warms up nicely and is good with people, including children. She would do well in a home that can offer her patience, gentle training, and lots of love while she continues to build her confidence.
Overall, Junie is a wonderful little dog with so much to give. With the right home, she’s going to make an incredibly loyal and loving companion.
