🐾 Meet Georgie 🐾
9 months old | Professional Chaos Coordinator | Full-time Teenage Menace 💞
Meet Georgie, a 9 month old puppy currently living at the peak of her teenage sass era.
Georgie is incredibly smart, and she absolutely knows it. She learns quickly, keeps you on your toes, and occasionally likes to test whether she could maybe be the boss instead. (She can’t. But she’ll try.)
When Georgie first came into foster care, the world was a scary place. Outside, people, and other dogs all felt overwhelming to her. But once she realized she was safe, she discovered that outside is actually the BEST thing ever. Now she loves spending a huge portion of her day outdoors, whether that’s going for long walks, people watching, sunbathing, or attempting to convince every dog she meets to become her new best friend. ☀️🐕
She’s fully crate trained and does wonderfully in her crate, often choosing to nap in there even when her foster mom is home all day. She also knows how to ask to go potty outside like a very responsible little lady.
Georgie is doing great with leash training and loves learning, although sometimes exciting distractions like rabbits, squirrels, birds, or mysterious smells can temporarily override her listening skills. Thankfully, she’s very food motivated, and a pocket full of treats usually gets her attention right back. 🍖
Like any puppy, Georgie will need continued training, consistency, and patience as she grows up, but she's been working really hard in her foster home and has an amazing foundation. She’s eager to learn, loves routine, and thrives when given guidance and structure.
She has only seen cats from a distance and is EXTREMELY interested in them, so either a cat-free home or a very slow, managed introduction would be best. 🐈
Because Georgie gets very excited during playtime and can be a little rowdy, she would do best with older kids who can help remind her to stay calm and be gentle. Sometimes she forgets there’s a difference between wrestling with another puppy and playing with a tiny human.
One thing about Georgie is she has opinions, and she WILL share them. Hungry? Excited? Annoyed? You’ll hear all about it in her adorable little howls and dramatic puppy commentary. 🎤 She also takes her self appointed role as Family Protector very seriously and likes to alert everyone that nobody is getting past her without being announced first.
While Georgie is independent and prefers affection on her own terms, she’s also deeply curious and will happily follow you around the house all day to make sure you don't need her help. Laundry? Dishes? Cleaning? Georgie is available for emotional support and quality control. 🧺
She loves toys of every kind, especially tug toys or anything she can enthusiastically destroy. Georgie plays hard, naps hard, and thrives when she has proper outlets for her energy. With enough exercise, enrichment, and adventure, she becomes a happy, sleepy, wonderfully well behaved companion.
Georgie is a hilarious, loyal, energetic little sidekick looking for someone who wants a best friend to do life with, hikes, walks, adventures, naps, and everything in between 💞
