Meet Hot Wheels (Affectionately being called “Fen”, after Fenrir the mythological Norse wolf)
Great things about Fen:
💤 Sleeps through the night in his crate - sometimes makes a few peeps because of his FOMO but then settles in for his 8-hour beauty rest. Would probably love to sleep on the bed, but his foster pawrents didn’t allow it 🙄
🚗 Travels well in a car in a comfy, covered, secure crate.
💡 Extremely intelligent, attentive and food motivated, making training fun and exciting.
🧘🏻♂️ Balanced energy levels; loves to chase anything that squeaks and then snuggle up underneath (yes, underneath) your blanket with you while you binge watch Netflix.
🧹 Easy-peasy maintenance; little to no shedding from this guy, and the tiniest poops you ever did see!
🚽 Goes potty outside (except for that one time his human didn’t get him to the door fast enough in the morning, oops!), encouragement and company is appreciated (it’s a big cold world out there when you only weigh 6 pounds).
🥹 Objectively the cutest face you have ever seen in your whole life, and ears as big as his heart.
Things Fen needs:
⏰ Patience - Fen has difficulty meeting new people. They are scary to him and he’s just not sure who he can trust. He would thrive in a quiet and slow-paced household with a single person or couple who are willing to be patient with him while he comes out of his shell.
🔑 Consistency - the world can be a spooky place, but once he knows his person (and his meals) will be around to love him for all time, he settles in and makes himself at home. If placed inside, he settles easily into his crate for an afternoon nap, but it is likely that he would do best in a home where he won’t be left alone for long periods during the day.
🐶 Solo Dog Life - Fen is not a fan of other dogs (including himself, in mirrors) and would prefer to be the only sweet pup in the home.
👧🏻 Fen has been untested with children but would likely do best in a home without the action and unpredictability that little ones can bring.
