Meet Barbie 💕

Barbie is a loving, playful girl who is learning to feel safe, secure, and confident in her world. She forms strong bonds with her people and truly shines when she feels connected and understood.

She would do best in a calm home with one or two adults and older children (around 10+) who can provide consistency, structure, and plenty of attention.

Barbie can be a little protective of her favorite person, but she has been making wonderful progress as she learns she doesn’t need to guard her people or her space. With the help of a trainer, she’s building confidence and learning that new people and dogs are not threats.

We believe Barbie may not have had many opportunities to socialize or play with other dogs as a puppy, so she is still learning what appropriate play looks like. Right now, that can sometimes come across as reactivity, but with guidance and patience, she is continuing to improve.

🏡 Home & Personality

Once she’s comfortable, Barbie’s sweet and playful personality really comes to life. She loves a good game of fetch with her stuffed toys, and it’s been so rewarding to watch her confidence grow.

She enjoys affection, companionship, and being part of her person’s daily routine. When playtime is over, she becomes a total snuggle bug who loves to relax close to her humans.

Barbie is house-trained and thrives on a consistent schedule. She also travels well in the car when crated and settles in easily.

🚶‍♀️ Walks & Training

Barbie enjoys her walks and is making steady progress with her leash skills. While she may pull at times, she is improving with consistent practice.

She can still be reactive when she sees other dogs, but with positive reinforcement and reward-based training, she’s building better habits and confidence every day. She would benefit from continued training and a handler who can confidently advocate for her space while she learns.

At home, Barbie may bark when unsure or when alerting, but with reassurance and structure, she’s becoming more relaxed and secure.
