Good day everyone, Let me introduce myself, my name is Red Rover. I traveled to Calgary from Bakersfield California. I was so scared when I arrived, but I am doing so good now. Here is what has been happening so far
My foster mom has 2 small chihuahuas and they have helped me to settle in and learn to dog. They showed me all the good sunny spots to nap during the day and where to find the food buffet and water fountain. Since I am not an over eater she leaves food out all day. When I go to the back door she lets me out, so now I know to go there when I need to go out. She said I am a very quick learner.
I have met so many dogs since I have been here. I give them a few barks to say hello and then we are friends, I have met big dogs and little dogs that like to walk past the yard with their people attached. I was so excited when it was my turn to go for a walk with my person attached. It was a lot of fun to see all the new things and smell and the new smells. I did amazing on the leash. No pulling at all, and I got to meet even more dogs. I keep hearing about these things called cats but have yet to meet one. I am sure I will be ok with them with a slow introduction.
I am a really chill guy, I love to cuddle on the couch and watch movies. I get to choose from 2 beds or the couch to sleep on at night, I usually choose the couch.
When my foster leaves for a few hours, she leaves us all free in the house. I have never chewed anything or even messed in the house since I have been here. I know my name and I am a very good listener. I always do what I am told.
I am a really good passenger in the car. I find a blanket and lay down until we get to where we are going. Sometimes we go to the pet store and sometimes we go to the park for a walk. It is always something fun when we get in the car.
I have not met any young kids yet. I know I would be a good boy with young kids. I do not jump up on people and I really enjoy belly rubs. As soon as someone touches me I roll over to get a belly rub. I would really love a family with a doggie brother or sister
