Meet Frank (aka Frankie)š¾
Frankie is a whole lot of joy in a little body! Estimated to be around 2 years old, he has all the fun, playful energy of a puppy without the sleepless nights or potty accidents. Since arriving in foster care, he has slept soundly through the night in his crate (right next to the bed) and, bonus: he loves a late morning lie-in!! He also hasnāt had a single potty accident since his first day at home.
Frank is a happy, energetic little guy who would thrive in an active household where his people are nearby. Heās very much a little shadow and loves being part of the action. He also travels well in the car, making him a great companion for family adventures. We also havenāt yet found a toy he doesnāt want to play with! He brings a lot of fun and personality wherever he goes.
On leash, Frankie is a dream: no pulling and no signs of reactivity to other dogs. He appears to be quite social and would likely enjoy living with another friendly, playful dog, but he would also be perfectly happy as the only pup soaking up all the attention.
Frankie is continuing to learn that his crate is a safe and cozy space. He can be left alone for short periods, though he does prefer being with his people and shows some mild signs of separation anxiety that will require further training. Heās a bit of a chewer, so continued crate training would be ideal for Frankie and his adoptive family when heās left home alone. He would do best in a home that can offer him structure, consistency, and plenty of companionship.
Because heās still young and learning his manners, Frankie would be best suited to a home with older children, as heās currently working through some puppy-style mouthing behaviours. The good news is that heās food-motivated, which very much helps with his training. Heās also your typical chatty terrier, so a detached home would be best.
If youāre looking for a happy, playful, energetic, pocket-sized hiking buddy with a big heart, Frankie might be your perfect match. Heās more than ready to find his forever home, and he has so much love to give. š¾ā¤ļø
