Dramatic & Delightful:
Everything Dee Dee does has personality. She will dramatically flop over and demand belly rubs, throw her toys at you to force you into a game of fetch, or show off her toy just out of reach to tease you into playing tug-of-war.
The Sweetest Social Butterfly:
She is entirely lighthearted and loving, wanting to say hello to everyone and wondering why they don't pet her as they walk by. She is intensely curious about cats (though her high energy might be a bit much for them!) and is a gentle, engaging play partner.
All-Weather Adventurer:
Rain, shine, or even a freezing -25° winter day, Dee Dee does not care! She loves the snow and the great outdoors. She’s the ultimate partner for mountain hikes, cabin weekends, and exploring.
House Manners & Training
Dee Dee is a stellar houseguest! She is fully potty trained (and politely does her business in the corners of the yard to keep your lawn clean). She is also crate trained and content spending 6 to 6.5 hours a day in her crate while her foster is at work. She knows several clear commands including but not limited to: Sit, No, Ouch, Watch Out, and Not For You.

Gentle Play: Despite her high energy, she is incredibly gentle with her teeth during wrestling and tug-of-war, responding instantly to "Ouch."
Resilience: She has completely left her rough past behind, choosing instead to look at the world with total innocence, joy, and curiosity.

Leash Manners: She used to pull like a freight train, but her leash skills have improved tremendously with the help of a muzzle loop (head halter).
Confidence: She has truly come out of her shell and isn't afraid to let her wonderful, dramatic personality show.

Channeling the Chomp: Dee Dee loves to explore the world with her mouth—blame it on her inner Lab and that classic, unstoppable food drive! She just needs a quick, loving reminder of: "Dee, don't eat that!"
The "Two-Legged" Greeting: When she’s excited, she loves to stand up on her hind legs to get as close to your face as possible. While she is incredibly gentle when she does this and rarely ever "claws" at you, it’s a habit she's still breaking, as it can be a bit startling to some folks!
Sharing Her Toys: She loves a game of "keep away" and is still perfecting the art of actually *giving* you the toy she wants you to throw.
Using Her Voice: As she has gotten more comfortable, she has started finding her voice. She will occasionally bark to protect the house from the mailman, show a little jealousy toward sidewalk dogs, or demand that you stop what you're doing to play with her.
