Meet Bless, also known as Abby! ๐
Abby is a sweet, friendly Beagle who will be turning 9 years old on November 17. She came into her current home at 7 years old after spending her earlier years as a research Beagle, and she has certainly learned how wonderful the comforts of home can be.
Abby is great with dogs, cats, and children and is a very social, likeable girl. True to her Beagle roots, she is incredibly food motivated and always has her nose working! If you happen to be eating, donโt be surprised if Abby lets you know that she would also like to be included. ๐
She loves affection and happily sleeps beside her person at night. Once morning arrives, though, Abby is ready for playtime, belly rubs, and ear scratches!
Abby has lots of energy and would love a home that can give her regular walks, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to explore. She is also quite the little escape artist, so she must always be leashed when outside unless she is safely secured in a fully enclosed yard.
She could use some continued work with her potty training. She currently uses both puppy pads and the backyard. Abby can also experience some separation anxiety when left alone and gets very excited when it is time for a car ride.
Abby is spayed and ready to find a loving home where she can continue enjoying everything life outside of a research environment has to offer.
Her current owner loves her very much, but due to mobility challenges, is finding it increasingly difficult to provide Abby with the daily walks and activity she deserves. The hope is to find Abby a younger individual, couple, or family who can give this happy, energetic hound all the love, exercise, belly rubs, and adventures she deserves. โค๏ธ
