Bella is a sweet, sensitive, and incredibly smart four-year-old Lab mix with a resilient spirit and a whole lot of love to give. Despite a rough start, she’s remained joyful, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her people.
Bella absolutely adores human connection. Her love language is physical touch, and she’ll happily lean into you, follow you from room to room, and curl up beside you any chance she gets. She’s a champion cuddler who believes beds are for sharing, and mornings should start with a little extra snuggle time.
At home, Bella is calm, well-mannered, and low maintenance. She’s fully house-trained, non-destructive, and settles beautifully. She enjoys her routines, cozy naps, and a good chew (bully sticks are her favourite). While she has a playful side and loves games, enrichment, and her signature “spinnies,” she’s equally content just relaxing by your side.
Bella is also an active girl who loves the outdoors. Walks, car rides, exploring, and especially running are some of her favourite things. She has great stamina and would make an excellent companion for someone who enjoys being active, then winding down together at home.
Bella is very intelligent and thrives with structure and guidance. She’s made great progress with her training and continues to build confidence every day. On leash, she can be reactive when surprised or when encountering unfamiliar dogs or unusual situations, but she redirects well and has shown significant improvement with consistent handling. She does best with space, predictability, and a calm, confident handler.
Because of this, Bella is looking for an experienced home that understands dog behaviour and can continue supporting her progress. A quieter environment outside of busy, high-traffic areas will help her feel most successful.
Bella can build strong, positive relationships with other dogs given proper introductions and time. She truly lights up around dogs she knows and trusts and would do well either as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion. She has shown strong interest in small animals like bunnies and cats, so a home without small pets would be best at this time.
She has done well with respectful children one-on-one, but groups of children can feel overwhelming for her.
Bella is the kind of dog who will form a deep bond with her person. She’s loyal, loving, and trying her best every single day. With the right match, she will absolutely thrive.
