Meet Ruby – the bright, beautiful pup who's eager to please and ready to love!
Ruby (formerly Rhubarb) is a well-mannered sweetheart who's been thriving in her foster home. She sleeps soundly through the night in her crate and is happy to hang out there while her humans are at work. She's a dream on the leash, even stopping and sitting at intersections like a little traffic pro!
Ruby is eager to please and picks up on training quickly. She knows her basic commands—sit, down, and stay—and she’s been respectful of house rules, staying off the furniture and out of off-limits spaces. She’s also showing great recall and has been obedient with boundaries, making her a joy to have around.
She’s not one to dig or chew indiscriminately—Ruby sticks to the toys she’s given, though the occasional kid’s toy has tempted her (a firm “no” does the trick!). She’s been great with children, although her playful energy has accidentally knocked over her 4-year-old human sibling a couple of times—so she'd do best with dog-savvy kids who can hold their ground or with slightly older children.
This lovely girl enjoys watching the world go by through the backyard fence, and while she’s usually quiet, she can get vocal when certain dogs pass by—just one of those things she’s still working on.
Car rides? Ruby’s in! She rides well in the back of the SUV, though she might need a little encouragement (and a gentle boost) to hop in. She’s even had a trip to the groomer and did fantastic—like a total pro.
Ruby is an all-around great puppy with a wonderful blend of energy, intelligence, and affection. She’s just waiting for the right family to keep helping her grow into the incredible dog she’s meant to be.
