Darry (aka Dare Bear) is a happy, go lucky puppy, who loves everyone - both dog and human - he meets. He’s still a little jumpy with his hellos though. He’s just SO happy to see you, he can’t help himself.
Darry’s spent a few months in foster now, with plenty of dog siblings in the home to keep him entertained. While he’d prefer it to be playtime all the time, he’s starting to pick up on manners and calm ways to interact instead of always springing to action.
Darry’s full of puppy energy, and will happily tag along anywhere you go. He’s ready to be your adventure buddy, but he can also entertain himself with his toys at home for low keys days too. His main preference is to be with his people, as he’s still learning the ropes of being left alone. While he is crate trained, he has a little separation anxiety, and is working on his brave every day.
Darry would love a friend in his furever home. Human or dog. He loves kids, but will need a little help learning how to be gentle when interacting with them. He’s friendly, but very unaware of his size. He’s almost like a baby giraffe, all leggy and awkward.
Darry is sleeping soundly through the night in his crate (upwards of 9 hours) and is potty trained as long as you remember to let him outside. He’s almost figured out how to ask to go potty, but still gets wrapped up when he’s playing and forgets on occasion.
*Neutered on May 7, 2025….and punishing his foster mum every second he has to wear his cone. How dare she interrupt play time with boring recovery time? Darry’s had zero issues recovering from his surgery otherwise and will be ready to go to his furever home.
Cats - not tested recently, but he met a cat at an adoption event and was pretty neutral. He’d need them to be very dog savvy for sure if his furever home has one.
Birds - shows a decent prey drive when he seems them outside or on walks
Walks - he has zero leash manners right now, but he’s fairly easy to correct when on leash. He’s just happy to be outside smelling all the smells.
Darry’s spent too much of his puppy life in foster waiting for his family. He’s ready for his furever life to get started.
Your new bestie is waiting for you!
