Meet Carl — the ultimate good boy with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure!
Carl is a one-year-old bundle of sweetness, smarts, and silliness who’s looking for his forever family. He’s been thriving in his foster home, where he’s received all the cuddles, outdoor time, and affection a pup could dream of—but now he’s ready for his next chapter with a person or family who’s active, loving, and ready to be his forever.
Carl is incredibly well-mannered for such a young dog! He’s house-trained, sleeps peacefully in his crate at night, and doesn’t chew or have accidents indoors. He knows all the basics—sit, stay, lay down, shake a paw—and is currently working on “come” and “heel.” With how smart and food-motivated he is, we think he’ll master fetch (and just about anything else!) with a little practice.
Walks are one of his favorite things, and he takes care of all his business while out and about. Carl is non-reactive to other dogs, doesn’t bark at them, and prefers to sniff and explore rather than socialize—though he’s certainly not unfriendly! He’s also great around children and tends to tune into the energy of those around him, making him a calm and intuitive companion.
While he’s a natural athlete and enjoys being active, Carl also loves to chill out and cuddle when it’s time to relax. He rides great in the car, stays home alone without any fuss for a few hours, and is happiest when he’s with his people, soaking up love and being a part of the family.
His foster family absolutely adores him, but they’ve come to realize that full-time dog parenting isn’t for them—and that Carl deserves someone who’s all in. They’ve poured so much love and care into helping him grow into the amazing pup he is today, and now they’re hoping to find a forever home that’s just as loving, committed, and ready for a lifelong adventure with Carl.
