This sweet girl didn’t have the best start to life and has the scars to prove it. It’s believed she wasn’t well cared for which has resulted in her having food security issues. She’s never shown any food aggression but does eat like she’s not sure when her next meal is coming. She doesn’t trust strangers, but it is absolutely worth taking the time to win her over, as she is nothing but love. She would love nothing more than to be held and cuddled all the time. Sara is a calm girl, who will play with her toys if played with, but is happy to just be near you with whatever you are doing. Sara does show interest in the resident cat, barking and grunting at her, but has never shown any real aggression towards her.

Sara gets along with other dogs and has engaged in a small amount of play, but would probably be okay as an only dog as well. Her engagement with other dogs may increase as she becomes more secure in her new life and doesn’t have to worry about feeling safe with a full belly. She’s still adjusting to this thing called snow. She’s willingly gone out a few times during the snow but prefers to do her business on pee pads. When the snow has melted and the grass is accessible, she’ll do a mix of both so it’s important that she has pee pads available until she gets used to this Canadian weather.
