Consuela has learned and grown so much since our initial bio! You'd never know she just learned to use the stairs or ring bells for potty training. She does not demand bark for food anymore - she was just hungry so we feed her a puzzle toy with her kibble while we cook and eat and she could care less! I'd also like to clarify that she is NOT a poo eater, it turns out she didn't realize what those forbidden frozen treats were until it warmed up - hasn't been tempted even a little bit since. She also seems to only enjoy digging in the snow to find her toys. She hasn't cared about tassles since a rope toy found its way to our home, I think she just got a bit confused! She has improved in her resource guarding quite a bit as well. Her leash walking has improved leaps and bounds - she can walk nicely with her little slow senior foster brother without issue.

Recently her prey drive has come on board and she now loves to chase the magpies in our backyard, but we haven't had any issues redirecting her. Her current favorite toys are a “soccer ball", a rope toy (great for tug and fetch) and a squishy kong frisbee. The squeaky toys are always a solid option though!

She is so much fun to play with! Some of her ideal homes include one with kids, dogs, or an active couple. We think she'd be amazing at agility or fly disc as well.

If I had to use breeds to describe her personality, my top 2 would be Labrador retriever and Jack Russel terrier. She is the best mix of chill and laid back while also being up for anything, tenacious, and spunky.

We are so surprised she hasn't found her home yet! She is what so many people describe as their ideal dog, but it seems she keeps getting passed over because “it'll be so easy for her to find a home". The irony
