Bear is an energetic dog, who is very affectionate and cuddly. His high energy level means that he loves his regular walks, loves to run and play with other dogs and toys. He is also happy to cuddle up beside his person on the couch or in his bed. He does quite well in his crate although would prefer to be around his people.

Bear is quite food motivated and seems to be quite a smart dog. Since fostering, Bear has always done very well with doing his business outside. Taking Bear out regularly in the morning and evening, he has not had any accidents in the house. He also does not have accidents in his crate.

Bear can be fearful of new people such as on walks or that come into the home. This can lead him to bark and even be nippy if he feels threatened. Bear will need owners who will work patiently with him on some of these fear-based behaviours. Children over 12 are probably best for Bear, given some of these behaviours.

Bear is a lovely, energetic dog, so will need an active household who is prepared to exercise him. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play with them. Bear can be fearful of bigger dogs at first, but does fine once he realizes that they are not a threat. He gets along with my big husky dog. Bear also does well with cats, although is quite curious and sometimes wants to play, so would do better with a more assertive cat.

Bear will make a great addition to a home looking for an energetic dog who also loves to cuddle. Bear would enjoy having a dog sibling with whom he can play and cuddle.
