Patti is a lovely, highly food motivated, spotty little Pit Bull Mix. She is a compact dog, but don't let that fool you, she has the biggest heart! She is one of our residents that is constantly making us laugh.

Patti is:
Likely fine with other dogs provided they have similar play styles and proper introductions are made. Patti comes on strong so would likely enjoy living with another playful, high energy dog that enjoys the presence of other canines and has a bit of patience to offer "Playful Patti".

Very friendly and outgoing with people, but will need to evaluated around children and small animals, as she is easily excitable.

Very smart and LOVES treats, which make training a breeze! She knows several commands and we are working on helping her manage her excitement when being taken out of the kennel.

Patti has had some accidents in her kennel while at the facility, but this could be different in a home environment/routine or fixed easily with training as she is so food motivated and loves making people happy!

Patti is fantastic on a leash when using the slip lead system to help with pulling, which is has done significantly.

She is amazing at food puzzles and other enrichment activities. Patti enjoys mental and physical stimulation and would benefit from a home tht is able to provide her with both regularly. Mental stimulation will be especially important when she is left alone, as she does have some separation anxiety. She is medicated to help relieve some her stress in these situations. Without proper activity, Patti can be destructive. She would make a fantastic hiking buddy and will stay busy for extended periods while working on a snuffle mat or a frozen Kong!

Patti can be a bit jealous, and while not aggressive, does get too amped up when her neighbouring dogs are getting attention and she isn't in the spotlight. Because of this, she will need a specific temperment in her foster brother or sister. Patti is not overly loud and typically only barks when exciting things are happening at the shelter, such as her neighbours passing by her kennel.

Looking for a dog with love and engery to spare?? Patti is your girl!
