This husky mix boy was rescued from the streets of Ukraine as a pup with his sister. He hasn’t had a lot of stability in his life being at only 11 months old and having had several temporary homes already. Over the past 2 months of caring for Redis since he has been in Canada, I can say that he is about as sweet and lovable as they come! He is shy at first but is affectionate to both dogs and humans. He loves his humans and wants to be near them all the time. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves kids. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He is left out of the crate free in the house for 2-4 hours at a time when I run errands etc… He has been a quiet dog, only barking sometimes when his foster sister barks. He sleeps free in the house at night and chooses to sleep on the dog bed beside his human’s bed. He absolutely loves car rides! He is very well behaved in the car and even if it’s just a run to the grocery store, he would prefer to join than stay at home! I think Redis will do best in a home with another canine companion and a fenced yard to play in. He will need some leash training, as he gets very excited when he sees other dogs on walks (he wants to meet them all). He loves going on walks and jogs. He is quick and lean, making him an excellent jogging partner! Like with any young dog, he will need some more training and he has so much potential!
