Hi, my name is Blue Jay,

"My, Blue Jay! What big ears you have!"

"The better to listen to you with, my dear."

Blue Jay is a sweetheart who listens well and always aims to be the best girl. If she's ever getting into trouble we only have to correct her once and she listens immediately. Even when all the dogs in the neighborhood are joining a conference call!

Her favorite toys are just about all of them! She really loves gnawing on hard chew toys such as nylabones, and loves trying to tear pieces out of soft toys. If she can't find a soft toy, she may even steal something from your laundry basket!

She enjoys playing with her foster siblings and showing off how fast she can run around the yard. This girl has a ton of energy. She completely exhausts our 1yo husky mix and then just keeps going! She would love to have a big yard in her forever home so she can show you just how fast she can run.

When Blue Jay is done running around, her favorite thing is to cuddle up with her humans or doggy siblings. She's a huge cuddle bug! Sometimes she needs to be reminded not to jump on the furniture unless invited. Her favorite place to sleep is on top of her human with her legs straight up in the air.

On walks she can get a little excited when seeing other dogs, but calmly telling her to relax usually does the trick. She hasn't had any opportunities to meet other dogs on leash yet, so it is unknown how she would react. She has also never been around children or cats in her time in foster.

Although she usually gets along with other dogs in the house, she occasionally has moments where she will jump on one of the other dogs and scare them by pinning them down, growling, and baring her teeth, but she does not hurt them. We think that she would really enjoy having a doggy sibling, but these events should be monitored to make sure everyone stays safe.

Blue Jay is fully kennel trained and does good in the car!

Blue Jay is overall a very silly and sweet girl who deserves the world. She's like a perpetual motion machine and a teddy bear rolled up into one - the complete package. She sleeps in the most ridiculous positions and sometimes snores like a fog horn. She runs way too fast and crashes into our garden beds, but always gets back up like nothing happened and keeps going. She chases leaves around one minute and then jumps out of her skin the next when those same leaves move in the wind. She's a silly and smart girl who listens very well, makes everyone's day entertaining and brightens up every room she enters.
