Maia greets you when you come home with the softest gentle slow lick to you arm to say hello. Once you start petting her, she starts to lean into you and then lays on her back and loves tummy rubs. Maia is a very loyal life mate and always enjoys following you around the house to know she’s there. Maia is house trained and has had no accidents in the house. She doesn't ask to go out but is good at holding it when taken out on a regular schedule. Dinner time Maia has been showing great improvements with patients training and sitting until given the (dinner time) command.

Cats, Maia is curious with cats but over time with reminders she now has no issues with cats. In saying that she does need to be monitored until she understands your command to leave it for example .

Though she does need some obedience training regarding commands, and tends to jump up, she would definitely benefit from a family with children. She adores them and is very gentle with them. She is not a huge fan of being crated, most times she needs to be coaxed in with treats and will whine sometimes. She prefers to be near her people.

Maia is very good with other dogs, and quickly adjusts her play style to suit the situation. She loves to be outside and zoom around the yard, but willingly follows her people back inside.
Maia walks well on leash, pulls at times when she is excited but responds well to correction.

Maia needs a loving family that is willing to spend time with her and teach her, but she will make a fantastic family dog, she will just need some guidance along the way.
Maia is a very loving dog that greets her family members and kids with an open heart.
