Surprisingly Dakota is the last of her litter and hasn't had any adoption applications, and we don't know why! Dakota is a sweet, smart pup who loves to cuddle up after a good play session! She is crate trained and will go to her crate on the cue 'bedtime', and sleeps through the night. She knows her basic commands, will sit and wait for her food and 'wait' for a treat without jumping up and while being mouth gentle. She can get excited to see you and is working on her 'down' manners.

Dakota walks great on her leash even beside our resident dog. She is getting very good at house training, with very little accidents indoors. She is very friendly with everyone she meets including dogs, kids, and cats! She loves the snow and being outside. Her favourite toys are ropes or squeaky toys.

She can experience some separation anxiety when left alone, however she is getting better and more used to it. She would love nothing more than just to cuddle up in your lap and be near you. Dakota was born in care on November 24, 2022. Her mom is Dizzy who is a 55 lbs. American Pit Bull mix. Dizzy was part of our November 12, 2022, transport from Bakersfield, CA. Her father is unknown.
