ROSWITHA: female, 11 months, 14kg, Group B
When Roswitha was a little puppy when she found shelter in a temple in Phang Nga where she was fed by local people. Unfortunately, she developed a skin issue that caused hair loss and a kind lady contacted Soi Dog Foundation for help. She told the rescue team that the little dog had a distended belly and shortness of breath along with her skin issues. A rescue team picked her up and took her to Soi Dog Foundation’s shelter for treatment. The puppy was named Roswitha and kept at the shelter after she received as it was doubtful that she would have survived on the streets. Roswitha has grown into a sweet dog that approaches visitors for attention. She walks confidently and enjoys exploring the world. Please give Roswitha a safe place on the world.
CAT TEST: Dog calmly explores immediate surroundings, tail up and wagging. Looks at cat briefly but shows no response. After 40 seconds dog looks at cat with ears back and moves towards cat, head lowered slightly, eyes stay soft, tail keeps wagging. Moves away again after 5 seconds and is focused on handler. When given loose leash dog approaches cat with head low, tail low and wagging. Sniffs cat, with ears forward and eyes soft, then moves away after 10 seconds. Approaches observer, ignores cat for the remaining time.
Once the dog arrives in care, they will go into foster care for 1 week so we can get to know their personalities better. After the first week, we will post their adoption biographies and review adoption applications or announce that the foster provider has adopted them.
