Mod is a very friendly and outgoing dog and she loves everyone she meets. She loves to be close to her person/people. She loves to play with other dogs and her stuffed animals. Her foster parents say she is very sweet and cuddly. She loves going for walks and is energetic for her age, she is definitely not a couch potato. She walks good on a leash and knows how to sit for a treat. Her foster parents say you can barely notice she is missing her one eye. She is good with car rides!
Mod is a small Soi girl with a big heart and one eye. No one is sure what happened to her before she was found at the Government Dog Pound in Phuket Town. But the people who were looking after her realized that she needed help as she was blind in one eye which was inflamed. She was brought to Soi Dog’s shelter where the vets were unable to save her eye and decided to remove it to relieve her pain and improve her quality of life. Mod is a lovely, confident girl who enjoys her walks. She navigates her way through life with one eye and does not let anything stop her from spreading joy wherever she goes.
CAT TEST: July 2022- Dog stands next to handler and looks around room, tail up and wagging gently, ears forward. Sniffs and pulls towards cat for 5 seconds, then turns away and sniffs immediate surroundings, before turning towards handler. When given loose leash, dog walks past cat an approaches observer, then walks around crate. Looks at cat briefly on multiple occasions, turns away after a second each time. On the third time, dog is startled when cat moves, and dog moves away quickly.
