Skylar is a big dog in a small package. People often ask if she’s a puppy and are surprised to hear she’s fully grown. She’s intelligent, loyal and friendly. Her recall is great, and she walks nicely on leash. It doesn’t appear that she’s had formal training yet, but she sure listens well.

Skylar enjoys going on little adventures and is not afraid to try new things. She’s a quiet soul but can get very excited when you allow her to. My favourite part of the day has become watching 6am sky-zoomies in the backyard. Sky gets her cues from others and is not dominant. She will feed off your energy and is sensitive and caring.

Sky is the shining star of her foster home. Zero accidents, no destructive behaviour and she sleeps quietly in her own bed at night. She is not comfortable using a crate.

She’s gentle with our tiny chihuahuas and is good with cats and children.

Sky has had anxiety in the past, but when left with another dog she only barks or whines if they do first. When left alone, her anxiety can be minimized by running through some basic separation anxiety exercises right away. Because of this we recommend Sky goes to a detached house with another dog.
Skylar gives the best snuggles and gentle little kisses. She likes to lay her head on your chest and just sit there quietly. She is a wonderful soul and a true companion.
